As one of the most popular sports in the US, football also has some huge salaries for the best players. Sometimes, the salaries could get higher than those in basketball or baseball could. However, highest paid players in the NFL are always searching for new teams, so they could get even more money. Some of them are also in the Forbes Fortune List, so you could say that football is a rewarding game. However, those players are making money from playing and endorsements at the same time. For instance, Matthew Stanford makes only 0.7 million dollars from endorsements, while his huge contract of 27 million USD brings him on the second place in this list as overall.

Some well known names can be found amongst the highest paid players in the NFL. Payton Manning of Indianapolis Colts takes more than 30 million dollars a year, even if some people could say that there are better players in the NFL. One of them in the second place is Matthew Stanford from Detroit Lions. Eli Manning comes at the third place, having total estimated earnings of about 27 million dollars. Payton Manning has an annual contract of “only” 15 millions, while the endorsements of 15 millions bring him on the first place.
